If you choose not to, you may continue the descend on bike to the town of Santa Maria. Here is where the journey to Aguas Calientes will begin.

After the journey to Aguas Calientes – also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, the trajectory will begin to reach the Citadel of Machu Picchu. What do you need to bring to enjoy the journey without any problem? A big backpack where you can fit all of your clothes, enough drinking water, mosquito repellent, a basic first aid kit, among other first necessity items. It it very important to bring comfortable walking shoes to avoid any inconvenience.
